Austin 360 Summit Awards ASVP "Whiffle Ball Award"
The Austin 360 Summit, which met January 26, brought Austin’s high-tech community together with community leaders to look at today’s and tomorrow’s needs and priorities in the Greater Austin area. ASVP was presented with a "whiffle ball award" for our efforts in social entrepreneurship, and taking the LEAD! Thanks to all of the partners for your assistance and efforts to date.
ASVP joined five other organizations that have been established to bring greater philanthropic focus to the tech industry as exhibitors as the 360 Summit. These organizations were included in a brochure, developed by ASVP Partner Steve Guengerich and Lynne Skinner of Austin Ventures, called "Building Vital Business & Non-Profit Alliances."
The brochure focused on how these organizations are similar yet different: rather than providing overlapping programs, they are unique complementary efforts that together afford a complete range of philanthropic resources, including:
